Almond Tuiles (almond crips) are the easiest cookies recipe that I have to share with you. If you have got all the ingredients in front of you, then you are halfway done. Mixing and bake the cookies without any skills requirements, even my 3-year-old son helped me make them. Besides, this is a perfect recipe to consume the leftover egg whites. So, I won’t waste any of the good ingredients. Those thin crisps are simple but absolutely delicious to enjoy. The elegant looking of those cookies is also the best homemade gift to share with friends and family.

What are the ingredients for Almond Tuiles ?

  • Egg White
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Toasted Sliced Almond
  • All-purpose Flour

How to make the Almond Tuiles?

  • Preheat oven to 305F
  • Melt the butter in the microwave for 20 seconds. And set it aside.
  • Beat the egg white and sugar in a large bowl with a whisk until the sugar absorbs. Add vanilla extract and melted butter to the mixture, and whisk to combine. Add almond slices and flour to the mixture, and fold to combine with a spatula gently.
  • Spoon the batter on the baking pan with parchment paper attached, and spread it out into a thin round shape. Place each batter 3 inches apart.
  • Bake them for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Let the almond tuiles cool down completely on a cooling rack, and enjoy.

How to store them?

  • Let the cookies cool down completely before storing them in an airtight container. Therefore, they won’t taste soggy by the water vapour. The cookies will remain the crispy texture for more than 2 weeks at room temperature.

  • 25g Unsalted Butter
  • 2g Vanilla Extract 
  • 250g Sliced Almond 
  • 20g All-purpose Flour
